These people are unable to lead a decent life due to lack of basic amenities to sustain themselves and their families. They may either be born into impoverished circumstances or may be rendered homeless and poor by natural calamities. Natural disasters make an already pitiable situation even more pathetic. These natural disasters that render millions of people homeless every year in one part of the world or the other impel us to look beyond donating to the local charities, as well.
